From "Public view" to "Edit" page...

Hi, Very often I would like to add a tag or change other details of some Artwork in my portfolio. Usually I have the public view, but to edit it I have to go to MyBubble/Art, then find the correct page, scroll and then click “Edit”. This is a lot of clicking and scrolling… It would be much easier if I can switch from the Public view page immediately to the Edit page. Currently I know the trick of changing the URL in the Browser to avoid the many clicks (replace ”/people/YOURNAME” with “mybubble” and add ”/edit” at the end…) Walter |

Hi, I’ve created a bookmarket but for various reasons, Textile on Redbubble doesn’t allow me to encode it in this comment. Please see this page for a javascript bookmarklet (just drag the link from it to your bookmarks toolbar) that will do the honours. Currently tested for art, clothing, journals. Adjust to taste by all means. Developed in collaboration with davepearson . HTH. |

Now why didn’t we do this a few weeks back? Works like a charm (well, as long as you’re on the right sort of page—error checking is for people who make errors ;)). |

Are you using NoScript? If so, you might need to permit scripts from “about:blank” by opening a new tab, allowing it in NoScript and then returning to the page. |

Oops. OK, there was a slight bug in it. Replaced now – please repeat the process. :) |

Please note that it was all his fault. I gave him a working version. He improved it for “not working very well” values of improved. ;) |

And writing. Works for that as well. |

... and walter’s original suggestion is a good one – and one that we will do in the first few months of next year. |

That’s good news Peter. Like Walter I’ve been wanting this simple but very handy facility for some time now. |

For those who use Firefox and have Greasemonkey installed (or want to install it), I’ve knocked up a Greasemonkey script that adds an “Edit this” facility into the page of a work. The effect it has is this:
See over here for more details. |

I just installed Dave’s firefox add-on and |

Thanks Bahoke, glad you like it. While I’m messing with Greasemonkey, if you’re one of those people who hated it when the RB people moved the comment box to the top of the comments (when, of course, it should come after the comments ;)), you might find this handy. |
