Is there a possibility that we can have links open in a new window automatically ? If I forget to press the shift key before I click I can never find a page/artwork again …. sad, sad, sad :-)

I’m not sure if this can be done (I’m not technical) but there’s always the back button in the browser …

Oh, that’s ok.

Never mind :)

Hi Peter,

I’m not sure if this can be done (I’m not technical) but there’s always the back button in the browser …

I know that :-) but sometimes you start looking through a portfolio or click on a link to another folio and it gets time consuming trying to find out where you were in the first place.

Alison. On the off chance that you use Firefox and, if you do, you’re willing to install the Greasemonkey extension, I’ve knocked up a quick script for you that you can install that’ll make this happen for you.

I’m not a huge fan of the idea myself but, if it helps someone else, here it is.

Hi Dave,

I usually just hold down the shift key before I click on a link and it forces the link to open in a new window. When I forget to do this, I like to blame others LOL Redbubble in this case :-)

Nooooooo!

Please don’t do that, as it’s considered very bad web practice to force a link to open in a new window (and many popup blockers will block it).

I use firefox and open lots of new tabs

As Martin said, this is not considered good web etiquette for sites and the development team reserve a special kind of hatred for sites that try to decide for you which links will open in a new window.

Firefox and recent versions of IE allow you to open a link in a new tab, which is what we recommend.
