Can't find my work in the chosen category...

Hello to EVERYBODY and GREETINGS FROM COLORADO!

I am new in Red Bubble and still learning…:)

I have a question: how long takes for a newly uploaded work to show up in the categories I tagged with the image?
For example, I have a Clown, uploaded a few days ago…than, a little later I looked for the picture in the Clown category, was not there….ok, I said, maybe needs some time. I looked today is not there…
I did the same with other images, looking for them in the categories of my Tags, and I can not see my works in the chosen categories.

Am I doing something wrong?
Are there certain requirements or criteria that an artwork needs to meet for being shown in the category where it belongs?

Please advice me,

Hi Elisabeta,

I’m not sure how long it takes for our work to appear in the search results, sorry, but I do notice that if you search for “clown” there are 88 pages of images found, and over 2000 images in all … did you look through all of them? Perhaps yours is there on page 76 or something and you just missed it?

Also, if I search on a combination of tags, such as “blue clown emotion” or “emotion clown”, then your “blue eyes” image appears in the results, so you are definitely in the system and I don’t think you are doing anything wrong.

I appreciate your response, thank you very much!
I knew that there are 88 pages; I looked at the first 30 and the last maybe 15 pages. For me would make sense to be, at least for a while somewhere on the first pages, or if the rule works that way…somewhere on the last pages…:)
I found my 2 clowns now, one on page 60 and the second one on page 75. But is ok….is good to know that they are there now…what can I say?
You said that you found “Blue Eyes” in two different categories as a result of combining the tags….that makes me feel better…I will try to look for the rest of my works combining tags …:)

not only might it take a while for an image to show up in a category – especially if it’s one that has to be approved – but it can very quickly get lost in that category. one I uploaded just a day or two ago was 33 pages down. and then, some categories don’t seem searchable. I think I usually get a notice when one of my images has been accepted to a group that requires approval.

Yes, This is how it works with most of the groups…my issue is the other one…:)))

Just for clarity (in case anyone gets confused), the original question related to TAGS, not GROUPS. They are quite different!
