What Are Box Frames?
|

What exactly are box frames? Does the frame itself lay flush against the glass? Or is it raised? Thanks for your help! |

G’day STEPHEN! Instead of telling you what they are, here is a LINK= where you can find out all about them. Google is your best friend. 8-) GB |

Thanks but the link provided shows “Shadow Box” Frames. Is this the same as a “Box” Frame? |

Stephen! Stephen! Stephen! The link also gives you a link to “Box Frames”. Now go back and look at all the links provided by my Google search. 8-) GB |

Ok yes Dennis, I see it now. So it looks like Box Frames are raised up and are not tradtional frames, correct. ? |

Hmmm, that’s not my impression. I assume you are talking about the RedBubble framed prints? On the “buy/preview” page for any RedBubble framed print product, you can see a little explanation: flat frames are 30mm wide and 20mm deep, while box frames are 20mm wide but 40mm deep. In both cases, the glass is flush with the frame (at least I assume so), so it’s really just a difference in proportions. Hope this helps, cheers, prbimages :-) |

Thanks PRB Images but I am still a bit confused. I thought Box Frames were not flush with the glass. Although the RB 20×30mm flat frames are flush, I am still unsure about the RB 20×40mm box frames. So my question remains: Is the RB 20×40mm Box Frame also flush with the glass? I have some clients asking so thanks for anyone’s help in answering this. |

I have ordered box frames & yes, they sit flush with the glass. The back of the frame is deeper. They look lovely! |

Thanks Rosemary, I have now ordered a few for my customers. |
