the wrong group!!

can’t find my question anywhere, tho i’m sure it’s been asked before!
if i’ve already sent something to an inappropriate group & it’s been rejected, will it show up when i edit the pics, so i don’t accidentally send it again?

Just yesterday, one group I was a member of changed the group rules in a rather draconian way (their prerogative, I suppose). I interpreted the “new exclusions” as something that could threaten the inclusion of many of my pieces. In an effort to remove from their vision a wide swath of alternative art forms, they forbade everything from horror art to art celebrating alternative lifestyles. My own work might be excluded for my use of sepia/earthtones, or my subject matter which often includes insects, arachnids, and other things people generally don’t care for. I just left the group; if I don’t agree with most of the members (and I certainly DO NOT agree that Art has to be beautiful and non-confrontational), I’m just going to be butting heads with a bunch of people wearing blinders. I feel sorry for them, limiting themselves in that way, especially because it had been a decent venue for a cross-section of art media.
You may have to dig deep in the groups to find like minds and welcome pages, but you may also want to expand your own perceptions of your work, kind of like when you’re thinking up nifty tags for an image. You may find that you’ll fit in a lot of places.

Secret – keep looking – there are so many groups that sometimes the ‘right’ one can get lost. If you still can’t find something – start your own! I’m sure you’re not the only person with “half nude non humans” in their portfolio!
