Hi,

How do I copy and paste an image into my ‘Edit Your Profile’ section in the medium white box provided?

Thanks!

Hi E,

Right click on the image and select properties, select the URL (including the .jpg at the end) then copy. Go to your Edit Profile page and paste the address inside 2 exclamation marks … ! your image url goes here ! Do not leave any spaces.

Right click the image. (the best one to use for this so it actually fits in the forum is the one in “edit” – others are just a little too big and require scrolling to view the image – not good!)

for internet explorer select “properties”, then copy the image url (ends in .jpg) about halfway down the pop-up window

for firefox, “copy image location”

now go to the forum/journal/comment box/wherever

type ! paste the url ! (with no spaces)

save changes and hey presto you got your image in the forum!

Here’s an example:

becomes
when the spaces are removed…..

If you want to go a stage further and have your image link to your profile or the public view of the image follow the above instructions THEN:

type : then paste the url (from the address bar) of the page you want to link to.

So example:

! http://images-3.redbubble.com/img/users/cropped/size:60×60/view:avatar/debz-7.jpg ! : http://www.redbubble.com/people/debz
without the spaces becomes:

i.e. my image linked to my profile.

Putting the quote marks ” ” around the first part of the path i.e. ”! your image url!” then a colon : and then a link to a larger image will make you able to click on the smaller image to go to the larger one.
