Hi, I’m a new user to Redbubble – it’s a great site by the way. Just put 3 paintings up for sale but when you look at the option with a border my user name is shown (nottm365) which looks odd, how do I change it to my real name for the artwork?

you have to select “Always show my real name” in the “edit my profile” screen

Hi, I’ve just edited my profile to “Always show my real name” and it’s still showing nottm365 on the picture – help (I have logged out and back in and it’s still doing it)

that’s strange – it should have updated… contact
support@redbubble.com
if it doesn’t fix itself in the next few hours.

Just checked again and it’s showing your real name now :)

Thanks Debbie, doesn’t seem to be doing it on all of my painting though. I’ve sent an e-mail to readbubble, hope they can help

OK – so it seems on the print with a white background I get nottm365, but if I change it to black I get carole russell – on two of my paintings. On the other one it’s still Nottm365 – what’s happening???

You’re probably seeing cached copies of the old images.

Try a hard refresh in your browser – ctrl-F5 in most browsers – to ensure you’re not viewing an old cached image.

Carole – I’m seeing your real name on everything….. as Martin said…. try the ctrl-F5 refresh and see if that helps :)

Hi Carole,

If all else fails, try going to Tools>Internet Options and delete your temporary internet files.

...but that won’t help if the old image is being cached by an upstream proxy, while a hard refresh will force any upstream proxies to refresh the image.

Doesn’t look like a simple caching problem … Carole’s two images titled “Sailing” display her username to me (and I’ve never looked at them before), the other works are showing her real name. I think this is a problem for the RedBubble techies …

I see both her name and username on different works.

I just checked all 9 of Carole’s images, and all show her real name on the large version, and none show her username.

Hi Folks – just thought I’d let you know my problem is finally resolved. I suggested I edit and download the images again and save. and it worked. Phew – that took some doing. Thanks for all your advice.

It was probably your browser just displaying an old cached version of the page like Martin Pot suggested.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista the keyboard combination of Ctrl and F5 will reload the entire page from scratch. The “refresh” button doesn’t always download all of it again.

I don’t know if this works with other browsers and operating systems.

No it wasn’t. Read my post above.
