Writers Comps and Opportunities

Hi all. I would like to start this thread for you to use, specifically to announce any opportunities or competitions you find and wish to share with other Redbubble writers.

Please don’t place them in a separate thread – put them all here!
I think it would be helpful if we all follow a similar format somewhate like a classified ad. Something like this:

Name of Competition/Type eg short story, poetry
Globally, Location of Competition
Closing Date
Comment, any limiter such as open only to residents of country, state, town etc
Link to further information if available

In this way we can see at a glance if the item is relevant to us.

Where possible, provide links to place with more information.

Okay, I’ll give you an example.

OneFifty Project. Writers aged under 30
Australia (so Australian writers only)
Short stories 150 words and under.
Ongoing – four rounds per year. Prize is payment at 10c per word. Although the current round closed end January, check the site for the next round dates.

Worldwide – Open only to Members of the groups I Host (obviously).

Update... since I no longer host two out of the three (indeed, a Tragic Ode no longer even exists), neither does this competition. However, I’ll be back shortly with a list of groups which are hosting writing comps currently. I know Twisted Tales is….

Sorry about the very late reply, Nicole. The Zodiac competition was part of the Spherical Scriptings writing group. It has finished. Why not head on to the Groups section of Redbubble and join some of the writing groups. That way you will be able to stay in the loop for the various competitions and challenges.

I’m also contemplating what to do about making the general Writers forum a bit more dynamic and current. I have been neglecting it of late – apologies to everyone.

Hopefully some news very soon.
