Corel® New Masters Portrait Challenge with Painter™ 11

The Challenge

Corel® is providing the RedBubble community with the opportunity to expand their creativity with Corel® Painter™ 11.

The challenge is to create a portrait using Corel® Painter™. Either by modifying an existing photo or creating an image from scratch.

Over $1500 worth of prizes including 3 copies of Corel® Painter 11 and a Wacom Intuos4® Tablet are being offered.

Corel® Painter™ is the ultimate digital art studio for anyone ready to expand their definition of creativity. RedBubble’s very own Reneé Dawson unveils some of the secrets of Painter 11 here.

Judging / Voting Criteria

The entries will be shortlisted by the community through the voting process. The final winners will be selected by RedBubble.

RedBubble will select final winners at their sole discretion based upon those works which they consider show:
- greatest creative flair
- skill in execution and utilisation of Painter™

Entrants are encouraged to provide a link through to the original image on which their work is based in the comments section of their entry.

Rewards & Prizes

A total prize pool of over $1500

First Prize: A copy of Corel® Painter™ 11 (usually US$399) and a Wacom Intuos4® Medium tablet

Two Runners-up: Copies of Corel® Painter™11

Three Honorable Mentions: $100 RedBubble vouchers

Winning entries may also be showcased by Corel® on the Corel® website with attribution to the artist.

Additional Information

The challenge is only open to portrait images (animal or human) created using Corel® painter. RedBubble is the sponsor of the challenge. Corel® is the promotional partner. All entrants into the challenge agree to be bound by the Official Rules

All entries to the challenge that are based on an original photograph must be taken or owned by the challenge entrant and to which they have clear copyright ownership. Strictly no use of licensed work (stock images, creative commons etc.). Any images that do not meet this criteria will be removed.

Winning artists provide Corel® with a limited license to showcase their winning entry on the Corel® website with attribution to the artist.
