The Challenge

View from the beach – either way (towards the water or towards land, but the beach must be visible, not just the waves, not just the hotels/restaurants), and it must be sunny, summery. Vistas, not macros.

Edit: The following types and similar will be removed (beautiful though they are, it’s not what we’re looking for this time): close ups of waves with no context, rocks with crushing waves, people on the beach with no context, views OF the beach from approaching boats. Look at the entries prior to the moderation banner to see what the challenge is about: what would catch your eye if you were sunbathing on a beach, and you’d like to capture in camera to take with you home, to keep you going until the next summer holiday?

1. Please, NO safe filters (or needing safe filters), bugs (winged or otherwise), dead or rotten or anything that contravenes RB rules
2. New work, please

Judging / Voting Criteria

Please vote for your favourite(s) that fit the theme, as many as they are. Every vote counts!

Rewards & Prizes

1. Bragging rights
2. Banners for top ten photos
3. Features for the Top 10 and 2 host choices (or as many from the top 10 that are in the group, plus the remaining places as ‘hosts’ choices’).
4. Top ten will be invited to participate in next month’s Avatar challenge

1. Please remember this is the photography challenge group :-)

1. Works not added to the group cannot be featured when they end in the top 10 (‘computer says NO’). Adding to the group once the challenge is over will be too late. Please add your work to the group as you add it to the challenge! :-)
