Taken in 2008 / My cat Midnight. Probably the only time she’s ever held that still for me. / And probably the only really good close up shot I’ll get of her eye. I sort of lured her in with the photography light. It was warm and so naturally she wanted to lay in front of it. I think I took this with my macro lens, but I can’t remember. © Jessica Walker
Arlington West is an ongoing display of the casualties in Iraq on East Beach in Santa Barbara, to protest against the war in Iraq, and increase the public awareness regarding the military and political fallout of staying there. Each Sunday morning thousands of crosses, as the number of the fallen, for that day, are placed in the sand and volunteers are providing the public with up to the moment information on casualties plus individual stories on the fallen. This image was taken at memorial day 2007 as a tribute and memorial and as a cry for peace… The combination of the loss and hope for peace left a profound impact on me. / Eyal Nahmias First place: Personal meaning challenge @ Photography Challenge Group Featured: Photography Challenge Group, October 2009 / Featured: Male Photography Group, September 2009 / Featured: Street Photography and Photojournalism Group, January 2009 Nikon D70

Model – Stephanie R This is why I owe Stephanie big time. She went through a lot and after we covered her with mud, we BOTH (not just me) decided that we didn’t like it that much. Soooo….she ended up having to take a 30 minute shower getting all cleaned up. After that we made her into a mess again. Stay tuned for those. Also, this young lady helped me out with the inspiration. She’s awesome.
just some fun with photoshop and my lovely friend :)

I walked by this creepy kid on a regular basis when I was staying in Toronto. He stood guard in a tailor’s window warding off anyone who thinks that vacant, eerily pleasant looking bald children wearing toupees are offsetting. I do. But one brave night I got near enough to snap this shot and run away in terror. The Omen, Malechai from Children of the Corn and this kid should start a boy band or something. I used this image (scanned from a print from my K1000) on an equally as eerie t-shirt design a while back & figured I’d give the shot it’s full credit. Enjoy it… if you dare!
