The Contrast in Light

The Challenge

In this challenge your aim will be to enter a work that has significant use of contrast that has been created by a light source. A contrast of shadow and light. The contrast must be very noticeable with an initial aim for light and shadow to play a large part in the portrait.

Judging / Voting Criteria

Participants should consider before voting the significance of the role of light and shadow and how much it contributes to the interpretation of the artwork; the creativity of achieving light and shadow in technique; overall composition in relation to light and shadow.

Rewards & Prizes

The winner of the challenge will be the group’s icon until the next challenge winner is announced and a group message write up on the artist.
