Please be courteous to everyone in the group. Show support for your fellow members…..stop in and say hello and leave a comment or two. We want to keep the rules as simple as possible but keep our focus clear:
1) Word Tree’s focus is POETRY or free verse. There are many fine groups like Writers’ Market, Spherical Stories, etc. that are much more suited to your short stories or book chapters. We recognize how multi-talented all of you are but there are so many more outlets for prose, novels. etc. than there are for poetry.
2) There is a limit of 20 submissions of poetry and 5 of art. As groups get bigger on RB, it is time we all get more selective in what we can accept and post so we have chosen to become a moderated group rather than accept any and all submissions.
3) Art submissions should be accompanied by poetry, short verse or reflection – the vast majority of RB groups are primarily for images – Word Tree is not!
4) We understand that for many of you, marketing is a driving force in your participation in RB – and we applaud your success. But we will not take written or journal entries of a marketing or self-promotional nature – feature announcements about images featured in other groups, off RB websites, sales, etc. will be rejected as not suitable for our focus.
Please show some consideration. If you flood submissions with 10 works at once, 90% will be rejected in common courtesy to others that are submitting one or two pieces at a time.
