Got this drama mask in Venice. Didn’t realise how pained he looked till I took this photograph.
Taken on the promenade in Barcelona. He sat down, gasped and lay back. Whatever it is, it looks painful. Poor senor.
Recalling when love had the power to move mountains, stop clocks and feed the starved soul. Even when you were apart, just knowing your significant other was out there loving you as you love them was enough to burst your chest wide open with the overwhelming love that poured forth. The power of it! Magnificent!
October 8 2009 It seems like no matter what I do I can’t lose this nagging sense of all is not well with me. In fact the sense is so strong I feel no small amount of anxiety. No matter what changes I make, my heart still keeps on at me. I wrote this piece after I did in fact post that very Facebook status. Funny what can inspire… Also of inspiration Office Haikus heard at a recent work conference, with the topic employee engagement: “I sit wondering; / Can someone die of boredom? / Only time will tell.” I find it and others inordinately funny! While there is definitely an element that is serious, it is meant to be fun, it certainly helped improve my mood!
3am – Couldnt sleep, Tried to stop myself from crying and THIS is the outcome
Love comes in many shapes, forms, colors. Unfortunately in our country long ago, it wasn’t accepted in this form. Now it is and its a beautiful thing, I am a illustration of that love. It shouldn’t matter what color you are because love is blind. I just thought I would write something showing the reality of that awful past time but show the factual love behind it.

Pleasure and Pain is an artistic journey touching on every single emotion we as human beings ever experience. Whether its grief, loss, depression, agony, pain, lust, laughter or happiness, we seek your artistic expression of an intense emotion. We’d love for these raw emotions to be displayed in images we can see written on your face, your body, in your movements, or vividly portrayed in your writing. We want to see them and read them…and therefore…feel them along with you.
There is method in our madness. But is there method in yours?
Come in. Join. Lay yourself bare.
PLEASE DO NOT submit photos of landscapes, buildings, seascapes, of faraway lands, you get the drill. Don’t get us wrong, these are lovely photographs, but they are not appropriate for this group. We are looking for images/artwork/writing that show specific intense human emotion preferably with the human face and form or in written form with intense vivid imagery.
Right on :D
