Photography 101: Re-Opened - Please include F-stop, Shutter Speed, ISO

Group Rules:

Any images submitted without Speed, ISO, Focal length, F-stop, will be rejected.

This is a learning group. It is impossible to learn anything from only a camera model in the description. If at all possible, we would also like a brief description of how and why you took the shot (this would be a great learning tool).

The following images will not make it into the group unless I make a mistake :-)

Please note, any images with the following will be rejected:

1. Writing over the image
2. Combining elements of one image with another image
3. Borders of any kind
4. Layers of texture on the image
5. Panels of multiple images
6. Excessive post-processing
7. Selective coloring
8. Computer art of any kind

I hope that this clarifies things for you and may perhaps stop you from being disappointed. Your images are in general wonderful, it is sad to reject some images because they don’t comply. Please help us by ensuring that they do. Don’t take offense if it is rejected, it isn’t personal and the only rejection message we can send that remotely fits is “doesn’t fit the group rules”.

  1. There is a limit of 2 artworks at any time per member. We constantly have a revolving gallery so it is unnecessary to leave and rejoin the group to regain submissions. We’d like our gallery to be scattered with your pieces, not a full page of your work. So please be aware that constant cleaning will be done to keep the art work pages less than 40. As your work gets removed, you will then be allowed to enter more or reenter one of the removed works.
  1. You may enter any work into a challenge without submitting it to the group as long as it pertains to the challenge theme and abides by all Photography 101 guidelines. You need to read the challenge description before entering a photo. In every challenge, the mods reserve the right to remove your photo if it does not comply with challenge requirements and this can be done without warning or explanation. Also, as this seems to be a frequent infraction, incorrect entries will now be removed after voting begins in order to restrict you from entering that particular challenge.

The forums are also a great way to see what’s going on here.
