Topic: Group News / Group Guidelines Reminder
Hi All, . There have been a lot of images submitted to the group lately that don’t met the simple guidelines, the best advice I can give you is when you’re cropping your image is to use the settings of 3:1 to make it easy to obtain this format, or use a template so you can keep to this ratio. . This will not only help you maintain a uniform standard to your panorama work but will make it a lot easier when you might want to go get one printed at 60” x 20” to hang on your wall at home or maybe for a client or in an exhibition. . Popular panorama size prints sizes are at 30” x 10” or 60” x 20” which is 3:1. . Panoramas submitted should be within a ratio of 3:1 to 5:1 which is One (1) picture high and by three (3) pictures wide minimum that are full images not merged images and that will give you 3:1 this is for both vertical and horizontal format panoramas. (900 × 300 pixels)the number of images you will need will depend all depends on the amount of image overlay you shoot with . You can check this by right clicking on you image and go to view image detail if you using Firefox. .
. Or if using Internet explorer right click on the image and go to properties this will show your image size. .
. Happy shooting and stitching. . David

Topic: Group News / Its time to freshen up the group!
Its time to freshen up the group, there are close to 3000 images in the group now.
There are so many outstanding panoramas in the group, I know I approved all the work in the group, however If some one has been lucky enough to find our group, then they wouldn’t want to go through all 3000 images or 157 pages to find some of your work. I started this group for the main reason of my love for panorama photography and for people to find panoramas on this site, it uses tags to search for your work as most do so you will have little hope to have your image found on here unless you have a lot of hits on your work.
So by keeping the work fresh in the group we will all have a better chance to have your work seen.
The quickest way to remove the work is to leave the group and then rejoin.
The group limit is set to 10 and please submit one image per day so all images have a chance to be seen.
I’m doing this to try and promote all the members in the group.
Thanks and happy shooting.
