Here it is, I can’t help myself. / A collage of my little cubes. A fantastic collaborative project? / Want to know more? / Perhaps even give it a go? / Check it out
My fellow host over at Paintings, Modern and Beyond mxsara has set up an exciting collaborative project called cubeCubed for the group members which we hope will develop into a true work of interactive cross-media online art. The group is invite only, but please do check it out and if you think your work matches the criteria, please send me a b-mail and we will try and fit you in. (You will need to be a member of Painters in Modern Times so if you are not…..why not?)

The cubeCubed project / A collective work by members of Paintings, Modern and Beyond – counting infinity one cube at a time. The project is an evolving collaborative venture. The initial stages have reached 1.45 and are now ready to move and expand beyond the core group – the first step has been the submission of the project to a real world art journal STAGE#1 paintings submitted & downloaded using CLOUD technology then compiled within various 3d scenes- output: digital images uploaded to the CLOUD for discussion and display STAGE#2 an interactive web site connecting the various origin points of the work to one another – scenes, audio, music & styles for stage #3 discussed STAGE #3 short animations produced to display on the internet – the best will be developed into a short animated movie of broadcast quality STAGE #4 the work is translated into the real world -screened and/or exhibited in a manner to be decided. The project is the brainchild of my friend and co-host, the incredible mxsara / If you are interested in counting infinity one cube at a time, you need to speak to cubecubed blog instructions on how to submit a template The project – counting infinity one cube at a time The Collective

Assemblage – Interactive: This peice actually works, I can plug it into a telecommunications systme via an accumilator that stores static energy / and arks at a high voltage, through a process of touching sends a surge of free redicals through the systme via my body. I recieve a slight static shock only, but the result is a quick burst of energy into the ethernet. / The thing nearly caught fire whilst assembling as you can see on the dialer on the left near the watch / there is slight melting from early experimentation. / Anyway finished it now! I can sleep happily. / / /

Artist Tom Sena has released his latest inkrub on newspaper entitled “The Kiss (part II)”. Original measures 32” x 40” and is created with inkrub printing and acrylic paint .
Computer Painting ( Painter & PS) What points out Computer Painting is the use of brushes, spatulas, etc… without filters or effects, and that the art is made totally freehand on blank canvas or working on a previous image.
TWO ARTWORKS PER DAY PLEASE
A new sub group for members of PiMT with a strong individual identity.
The idea behind this group is to provide a second home for those members of PiMT whose work has developed from the painted surface into areas that challenge the accepted notion of ‘painting’ – the work should be fresh, experimental, challenging and original.
Multi/single media work that addresses conceptual relationships between ‘modern’ media – artwork that explores the boundaries of our modern multi-media world.
We are looking for artists who work in any combination of the following areas – if you are interested in joining this new group and you think your work is suitable, please contact kafka or one of the other hosts for more information.
Painting
Digital painting
Sculpture
Performance
Installation
Poetry
Photography
Music
Membership is by invite only – this is not intended as a merit-based selection but simply to keep the group focused and to prevent its galleries being flooded by inappropriate images.
