This majestic bird prepares to swoop in on a poor innocent little mouse.
Acrylics on canvas board This was just a fun painting I did because I had never done a butterfly before.
Painting on full sheet of watercolour paper, it won a prize in a big art show. This painting also sold. I had a student who tried to copy it. But the good thing about watercolours is ( even I could not paint it again) They are original and happy accidents happen.
5’ 6” x 4’ Oil on Canvas Part of a series of ‘Eclipse Horse’ paintings that evolved from my Butterfly series. There is a recurring global warming theme with the sun being frightening anf ominous as well as nurturing and illuminating.

Digital drawing by artist Leni Kae. Ruled by the Sun, Leo is a fire sign considered masculine as those born to this sign tend to exert a sense of dominance and pride. Spontaneously creative and extroverted, they generally love to be the centre of attention or be in a position of command. They have a wonderful soft side also however, and can be extremely open, sincere, genuine and trusting, as well as loyal and loving friends. To stay on his good side, warm his sense of ego and allow him to state his opinion for he will always have one. Watercolor , ink and pastel on Canton Paper / This work has 921 views to date 21/11/09 FEATURED IN THE AVANT-GUARDE GROUP Finally, I have finished my drawing of Nikki, and I have to say I am wrapt. I hope Nikki is also. / Now for those who don’t know my technique, first I design the composition on photoshop using my models, or muses who send me their faces. Then after that I sketch up the drawing onto a large scale A1 or larger piece of paper. Tape it to the easel and away I go. First it starts with graphite, then ink, then watercolour, then pastels, then conte and a touch of pastel here and there and VOILA! I might enter this in a competition which I have been invited to go into in Fitzroy, not sure if to enter this one or other Lady in Landscape. Please let me know what you think of this drawing in comparison to my digital mock up…some say why do a drawing at all when the digital is just as good. But I hope I have added some artistic freedom to the piece and its not exactly the same. If you would like to be a muse let me know. Thanks for looking . Billy FINISHED DRAWING – date 12.4.08 / Going to enter this works in the Works on Paper Mornington REgional Gallery this year Belinda Nye, BillyLee, Billy,
First of 4 digital artworks created for a WWF FDC envelope issue. Weird as it may sound, there really is a bird who is named after the girth of it’s knees, which, I have to say, don’t look that thick to me…as bird’s knees go…
This group is for painters, drawers, sketchers and lovers of all things nature. We accept artwork of animals, landscapes, insects, ocean scenes, and so on and so on. People are also permitted as long as they are IN a nature scene. and not just a portrait of a person, or a person inside a house.
Also accepted are art of animals who exist because your creative mind invented them!
Animals with wings, and silly things
Birds with ladies faces and interesting places
Smiling frogs and colorful dogs
Mermaids with tails and polka-dot whales
Cute cartoon cats and dark gloomy bats
You get the idea!!! If it’s creative – lives, breaths and grows then submit it to the group! We want to see your most creative work, and what makes you stand apart from the rest.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ACCEPTED! THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER GROUPS LIKE THIS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Some digital works will be accepted as long as they look like they have been digitally painted, and not just an altered photo
Journals are no longer accepted
