today, I was hoping for inspiration to come to make a creative work. I had nothing in mind and after an hour, all I tried ended up in the garbage can! / I decided to browse through my stock folders. When I say this origami boat and the orange slice, the idea of a surrealistic sun came to my mind… and this is the result. / . / featured in Feel, don’t copy (Nov. 12th, 2009) / . / stock > mine and brokenarts.sxc.hu | / . / a print version with orange designed and textured borders is also available on my main account Aimelle on RedBubble / / / / . / / .

The Nairobi Trio was a skit Ernie Kovacs performed several times for his TV shows. It was a live-action version of a child’s animatronic wind-up music box, performed to the tune “Solfeggio” by Robert Maxwell. Allegedly, when Kovacs first heard a recording of the tune, he immediately came up with a mental image of what would become The Nairobi Trio: three gorillas (wearing derby hats and long overcoats) mechanically miming to the music like wind-up toys. In the middle sat the “head gorilla,” always played by Kovacs (with a cigar, of course), conducting with a baton or (sometimes) a banana. To the viewer’s left another gorilla stood, holding two oversized timpani mallets. (The identity of this ape varied, but among Kovacs’ celebrity friends both Jack Lemmon and Frank Sinatra are known to have performed in the skit.) And seated at screen right at a piano was a female simian (often Kovacs’ wife, Edie Adams), robotically thumping up and down on the keys.
Featured in Urban Exploration – 23/11/2009 This is my mate who came down the drains with me on my second visit. Rain was on the forecast so we hung around the entrance and I saw this beautiful silhouette. I told her to stay still and I photographed many different positions. I really like the framing in this photograph and hope you guys do as well ;) Canon EOS 400d – 18-55mm / 3.2s, f5.6, ISO 100
Well, my mother discovered that I am interested in taking photos of the smallest living things around. Being a loving mother, she kept looking for little kritters for me… While visiting the San Juan Capistrano Mission (California) she ecxitedly pointed her finger at this wonderful little creature…I took some photos (from a distance) before realizing it was no lizard;-)
America has an incredible number of directional road signs and I have been busy taking their pictures. This tee represents just a small number of them. I’ll be loading more ‘Road Sign Tees’ soon. / Eventually I’m looking for humorous combinations of signs and am eager if anyone looking at these has any ideas or suggestions. / Clearly I’m in the experimental stage of this sign on tees concept. I have also stayed up way too late, way too many nights gathering this collection together.
yes, they are lines of abstractive reality simple and crisp .. hope you enjoy

“Beauty is in the view finder of the beholder”
This group is a place for those shots that are hard to clarify. A place where if you dont want to say what it is,(or don’t know!!??) then just give it a name and stick it in!!
Abstract- The more obscure the better.
Macro- The more unobvious the better.
Portraits- The more unconventional the better.
I think you get my point. Lets try and put a bit of mystery into it!
Have fun, keep it clean(ish!) and thanks for dropping by!
