This is a very beautiful. nostalgic scene of this old bridge. I love the aged vines that have grown over the rails over the years and beautiful fall scene leading across the path. I wonder where it leads once you reach the other side? Congratulations Kathy!

NEW GUIDELINES

This group is home to those of us that can can get lost in taking shots of rusting cars, trucks, tractors, farm equipment,wagon wheels, old wagons and trains. Go into ecstasy over a falling down log home, cabin, barn or old grain elevator. Enthuse to friends over a refurbished vehicle or a mint condition classic. Plus be found ooing and ahhing over vintage items! If this description fits you join us!

“Old Things Are Vintage” is a Group for those of us who enjoy antiques and nostalgia, rusted/refurbished vehicles and wooden/refurbished buildings such as old barns, homes, sheds and vintage items.

We want to see pre 1962 farms, wooden barns, wooden homes, wooden sheds, wooden grain elevators in dilapidated condition or refurbished. Tractors, trucks, cars, trains whether dilapidated or restored to their original look. Old watches, jewellery, hats, hat boxes, antique furnishings and items that you figure are 50 years or older. We are lenient with providing dates as they are often hard to come by but trust that you know or can estimate the age of an item. If we have a concern or question we will contact you.

We Do NOT Accept

Lighthouses
headstones & cemetery’s
statues
castles
ruins
pillars
ancient buildings – although old, they do not fit with the general theme of this group. We are looking for more on the early farms and homes and/or contents of such prior to 1960. That would date them into the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

NO Pets
No Old Photographs
No Nudes or Partial Nudes
NO Restored Cars with flames on the paint, wire rims/wheels, fancy engines, tail pipes. In other words Hot Rods. They did not originally look like that!!

We want to keep away from the concrete and most brick even if it is a beautifully restored or in ruin. Stone structures are acceptable. We want get back to the roots of the Group which is where we started three years ago. So we will NOT accept any of these items.

In this Group Hosts can enter the Challenges if they wish to. As they cannot vote for themselves or determine the outcome of the Challenge in any form and are Group Members there is not reason for them NOT to join in.
