First go at using some el cheapo extension tubes from ebay. I must say these tubes are pretty hard to use, i could hardly see anything through the viewfinder and i felt like the lens was going to drop off at any second. I probably got this one and maybe one more out of a large batch, i do love the extra magnification not sure how often i’ll be strapping them on though. Canon 40D / Sigma 150mm / 580EXII
Hi All I cant believe it. I entered the South Australian Department of Environment and Heritage photo competition and out of around 5000 photos I made the top 12. These top 12 will be used in their DEH 2010 Calendar. Now to wait and find out if I win the major prize but I just dont care about that at the moment as I made the top 12. This was my first major competition. Thanks to all the redbubblers that helped me out by voting. Here is the link to my photo and the competition I have entered this photo
The Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge provide a stark silhouette against a bright orange sunset sky in this photo taken a couple of weeks ago in Sydney. As seen on my blog

Taken using my new ghetto diffuser. I’ve wrapped some bubble wrap over the end of the flash to soften the light coming off and maybe give it a bit of bounce. Hit to miss ratio seemed a lot better with this on. Canon 40D / Sigma 150mm / 580EXII (+bubblewrap)
