The group is for all who are interested in this area, whether you are visiting as tourists, are interested in learning more before or after your visit, for locals and many other interested parties. Journalists, Artists, designers and writers are all welcome to join the celebration. We will be running challenges and forums to get as many people involved as wish and will try and promote meetings and photo shoots if there is sufficient interest once the group is firmly established.
The city has a fabulous range of architecture (including Medieval, Georgian, Victorian and contemporary), has a thriving cultural scene day and night, is a popular shopping area bringing life bustling through its many historic streets, the Council house (pictured) sits on a newly redesigned historic market square where markets events and wheels continue to bring life to the cities heart, and is located on sandstone cliffs and marshes of the Trent providing fabulous views across the surrounding area, and many large sporting venues, (including Nottingham Forest and Notts County football grounds, the Nottingham Tennis Centre, and Trent Bridge).
Surrounding the city are a wide range of interests, from Wollaton hall and deer park, to the National Water Sports Centre on Trent Bridge….and of course there is far more than I can advertise here.
The county contains a range of landscapes and scenaries, including (the remaining part of) Sherwood Forest, Attenborough Nature reserve on the River Trent, rolling farmland and sandstone cliffs. Country parks, old mining sites and historic villages are all what make this beautiful part of the world something to celebrate.
