Very early morning image made of this famous, inspiring building and location in Paris. Hand held – Olympus E300
Each year I get up before dawn during the Sculptures by the sea exhibition at Cottesloe beach Perth to take photographs. I always find myself drawn to these beautifull lively elderly people who go swimming there in the freezing cold.
Taken at Dawn in the middle of winter.
I received a flood of bubblemail alerting me to the fact this guy had stolen one of my images and was passing it off as his own and letting people download it for free, Thank you to everyone who sent me a message, I have reported it to the host of the site…. ABOUT US
Northern Exposure Photographers Group Inc ( formerly the Wanneroo Photographic Society) was formed in 1983.
We have a membership of approximately 40, some members of whom live as far south as Floreat and as far north as Yanchep. Most are in the Joondalup region.
Our youngest member is 12 years and oldest 70+years.
We have twice monthly meetings held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month from approx 7.30pm at Emerald Terrace Clubrooms which is situated at Emerald Way Edgewater (opposite Bunnings Joondalup)
The first meeting of the month is a Competition Night, while the second meeting is for Guests Speakers, Tuition and Workshop Activities.
Competitions normally have a “Set Subject” and an “Open Subject” each month in each of the mediums of Colour Prints, Monochrome Prints and Projected Digital Images.
There is a Points system for Photographer of the Year.
NEPG is affiliated with the West Australian Photographic Federation (WAPF) along with other W.A. Photographic Clubs involving well over 500 photographers in this great State.
The WAPF Committee organizes several activities each year, the main events being an interclub Competition in July/August and an Annual State Convention held in March/April. NPEG has been very successful in winning Interclub Trophies and some of our present members have won individual Trophies.
However, the Club also has much to offer beginners, including advice, education, motivation, excursions, Studio lighting and not least FUN.
Should you decide to join our group after a few meetings as a visitor, the annual subscription is $62.00 and this includes the $11.50 affiliation fee with a $2.00 “door Fee” on the nights you attend. There are discounts for pensioners and students.
The urn is always boiling in the Kitchen, so please feel free to join us.
