Image captured at dawn in the Sukhothai Historical Park. The Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Sukhothai was the capital of the first Kingdom of Siam in the 13th and 14th centuries. It has a number of fine monuments, illustrating the beginnings of Thai architecture. The great civilization which evolved in the Kingdom of Sukhothai absorbed numerous influences and ancient local traditions; the rapid assimilation of all these elements forged what is known as the ‘Sukhothai style’. PLACED IN THE TOP TEN IN THE SILHOUETTE REFLECTIONS CHALLENGE IN THE SILHOUETTE GROUP. ON OCT. 19/09 FEATURED IN THE INSPIRED BY LIFE GROUP Nov. 9/09
Bring it On 4 / The final Cut When you take a large number of images it can be difficult choosing your favourites. / I almost overlooked this image, but I was looking for a square image to mount for a local exhibition. / I realised when cropped as a square, this was probably my new favourite of the series / Newhaven Harbour Lighthouse / Storm 14/11/09 Panasonic fz50
I uploaded this image for the Backlighting Challenge (The DarkSideOfTheObject´sSoul) in Nirvana / The request was no postprocessing…. it was hard not trying to delete the wires!!!! Taken from the car during a road trip back from San Pedro, Pcia de Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2007.
Taken in Rockland County, New York, the swans appeared in procession and swam regally across the water. Nikon D60 / Nikkor lens 70-300mm Featured in Rural Around the Globe – Nov 20, 2009 / Featured in Going Coastal – Nov 20, 2009 / Featured in Nirvana – Nov 21, 2009

Once upon a time you dressed so fine / You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn’t you? / People’d call, say, “Beware doll, you’re bound to fall” / You thought they were all kiddin’ you / You used to laugh about / Everybody that was hangin’ out / Now you don’t talk so loud / Now you don’t seem so proud / About having to be scrounging for your next meal. How does it feel / How does it feel / To be without a home / Like a complete unknown / Like a rolling stone? You’ve gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely / But you know you only used to get juiced in it / Nobody has ever taught you how to live out on the street / And now you’re gonna have to get used to it / You said you’d never compromise / With the mystery tramp, but now you realize / He’s not selling any alibis / As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes / And say do you want to make a deal? How does it feel / How does it feel / To be on your own / With no direction home / A complete unknown / Like a rolling stone? You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns / When they all did tricks for you / You never understood that it ain’t no good / You shouldn’t let other people get your kicks for you / You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat / Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat / Ain’t it hard when you discover that / He really wasn’t where it’s at / After he took from you everything he could steal. How does it feel / How does it feel / To be on your own / With no direction home / Like a complete unknown / Like a rolling stone? Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people / They’re all drinkin’, thinkin’ that they got it made / Exchanging all precious gifts / But you’d better take your diamond ring, you’d better pawn it babe / You used to be so amused / At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used / Go to him now, he calls you, you can’t refuse / When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose / You’re invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal. How does it feel / How does it feel / To be on your own / With no direction home / Like a complete unknown / Like a rolling stone? – Bob Dylan

Ponka Wilderness Area, Arkansas The Natural State Entering the wilderness, this trail enters the 11,300-acre of Ponka Wilderness. Some of the most pristine wilderness, and indigenous hard wood forest in the US. / A place largely free of the sights, and sounds of our modern world. / Trails cross steep grades, and ford over the Buffalo National River, and its many tributaries. / With its steep rugged terrene, one needs to consider their physical abilities, and of course current weather conditions before hiking these trails. Be prepared I took this image in 2006 when I was able to get out, and hike the beautiful Arkansas Wilderness. I thank God everyday for the many images I have taken along my way, and each time I view them, I can re-live that moment, in time. This image is dedicated to my friend Lynn. Thanks so much for being you :) Canon Powershot S3 IS / / /
