Abstract Nature's Macro Art (No Flowers/Animals)

Group Rules:

We’re looking for photos that are UNIQUE and UNUSUAL and of a HIGH QUALITY, focused more on artistic compositions rather than a normal shot of a subject for reference purposes!!!

- It should be abstract enough so that at first is unrecognisable as to what it is
- The focus should be sharp. (Abstract does not mean blurry!)
- No obvious post processing or colour saturation.
We allow contrast, white balance, light levels adjusted… we like to keep images as natural as possible. Over-saturated images will not be accepted.
- We will no longer be accepting Black and White images – colour photography only
Regarding WATER REFLECTIONS, must be natural colours from nature, so we are no longer accepting abstract water reflections that are obviously from building, bridges or boats etc.
- Raindrops, waterdrops and spider webs no longer accepted*

- Super macro Leaves are good as long as its not the whole leaf and on first viewing one would wonder what the subject is, so very abstract please.
- Natural Water reflections are great too as long as one doesn’t recognise what the reflections are of, or are obviously from a bridge, building or boats.
- Rocks are great as long as it not at first recognisable as a rock, we’re after beautiful textures and colors in nature.
- Abstract Tree bark is great but please without the background skies, landscape etc
- Ice, snow and frost is great too but without anything else recognisable in background.
- Sand is great, beautiful patterns and textures to be found there, but without the leaf or seaweed in the middle.
- Shells perhaps, as long as when you first view you really can’t identify that the photo is from a shell. So a macro lens would be good in this case or unless its a really big shell lol!
- No macro flowers, dandelions, fruit, vegies, plants, feathers, fish, insects, insect wings etc
- Rock crystals and minerals are great, some wonderful colours and textures to be found there, not processed copper etc just as nature intended.

Also, please remember that we only accept TWO SUBMISSIONS PER DAY, and we require a description of the subject matter in the description box

We have a few members submitting more than two images per day on a regular basis, so if this continues you will hear from me. The number of images to moderate daily are increasing, so please help us out by thinking carefully before submitting to the group. THINK UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL, ABSTRACT AND MACRO. (Non macro photos will be considered on an individual basis, eg patterns and & textures on large rock face)
