The Challenge

The 2nd in our new challenge layout catering for all aspects of nature for us nature lovers.

As you can see the title will start with the category which will make it easier for me when choosing what challenge to do next, I can see the challenges I have already run in this category.

Interesting Facts

> The first crocodilia that appeared was about 84 million years ago.

> They are the closest living relatives of birds.

> The largest species within the Crocodilia order is the Salt Water crocodile and although I cannot find a true recording of the worlds largest, claims have been made that there have been findings of Salties ranging from 21ft (6.3m) to 27ft (8.24m).

> The females are very gentle, caring mothers.

> Crocodiles have three eyelids: two leathery protective eyelids and one clear or translucent one.

> As with most reptiles, temperature determines the sex of the young in the eggs.
