The Challenge

The first in our new challenge layout catering for all aspects of nature for us nature lovers.

As you can see the title will start with the category which will make it easier for me when choosing what challenge to do next, I can see the challenges I have already run in this category.

Interesting Facts

> The word fox derives from an Old English word meaning ‘tail’.

> There are around 37 species are referred to as foxes, of which only 12 species actually belong to the Vulpes genus of ‘true foxes’.

> The silver fox and cross fox are colour varieties of the red fox, whilst the Samson fox lacks guard hairs as a result of a genetic mutation.

> Unlike wolves, foxes do not howl but they make a wide range of sounds

> Foxes are solitary but they may form social groups and they are territorial.

> A male and female fox usually pair for life.
