The Challenge

The first in our new challenge layout catering for all aspects of nature for us nature lovers.

As you can see the title will start with the category which will make it easier for me when choosing what challenge to do next, I can see the challenges I have already run in this category.

Interesting Facts

> They have symetrical shells in the shape of a heart. Some have ridges on them.

> The mantle (inside the shell) has three apertures (inhalant, exhalant, and pedal) for siphoning water and for the foot to protrude.

> Cockles are capable of ‘jumping’ by bending and straightening the foot.

> There are more than 200 living species of cockles.
