Interesting Fact
The earliest recorded fossil decapod is the ‘Palaeopalaemon’ which lived in the Devonian period.
The Devonian is a geologic period and system of the Paleozoic Era spanning from 416 to 359.2 million years ago (ICS, 2004,5 chart). It is named after Devon, England, where rocks from this period were first studied.

Order – In scientific classification used in biology, the order (Latin: ordo) is a taxonomic rank used in the classification of organisms. Or in simple terms a name given to a group of animals, plants, fungi that are similar in some way, closely related, have something in common.
