Our second Bible study: Ephesians 5:5-14... and tools for the soul

Should man struggle with that which is not of his nature? It should come to man’s understanding, if he is not a believer, that his true nature is one of sin and selfishness, oriented toward only himself but this is not the case for those that believe in Christ Jesus. By allowing Jesus to enter in our hearts, to accept Him… and gain His light in our lives, is to learn a different nature and find His nature will guide us in this life. We must not allow the worries and anxieties we feel from our human condition to overpower the love God has shared with us. Has not Jesus said,“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.”(1) If we believe in Jesus as the Son of God, and having accepted Him in our lives, this is more than the hypocrites who claim to be of God and yet know nothing of God. Are we not then in the light of God… and it is His righteousness God sees first, and it is this that is our surety to gain entrance in to heaven. Have we the faith of this? Faith is to be something known, for the christian, and it is our faith that shall carry us through… for God is our hope, and our hope is His salvation of our lives. Let us know this to be true and find a stronger faith than we’ve had before. (1) Matt 5:20 SCRIPTURE: EPHESIANS 5:5-14 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.a 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Find here the same words used above. I am giving you tools this time to use at your leisure and for your own follow up to: more Scripture, further study, accessibility and understanding of God’s word. I pray it will be more than chance for you to use them, the resources, and you find them easy to use and follow. Nave’s Topical Bible Concordance Originally produced by Orville J.
