This is to get us help, found in the word of God, a scriptural path for our feet.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 119-67-71…67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. 68 You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees. 69 Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart. 70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law. 71 It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.

Should you like to look at more of what might be considered,“The Treasury of David,” you can look here and find more thoughts of David’s writing.

This seven volume “magnum opus”, by Charles H. Spurgeon, was first published in weekly installments over a twenty-year span in the London Metropolitan Tabernacle’s periodical, The Sword and the Trowel. As each section was completed it was published as a volume until the seventh and final volume was released in 1885.

The Treasury of David is in the public domain and may be freely used and distributed.

This is a youtube video of the line of David, and some Biblical history through scripture, Please understand that the nature of its contents might inflame some but it is scripturally based and written plainly as to the source. This is from the Bible itself… as it is the source, and if you click the link below… know you have done this on your own volition and have no reason to exact recourse for having done something by your own choice.

Worthy of a look at some of the reasons David has such importance within the understanding of what is called Christianity today.

This comes from the thoughts and references… with the helps and support of study by way of “Biblestudytools.com”
there are loads of links provided here and it will become an invaluable tool for us all, for all future studies. Since this is our first open house Bible study… it will be looked at in hindsight to what we can add and embellish our times presented with and aid the “deeper understanding” of God’s word; which will truly be the guiding light to our feet, path and way.

I pray you find what you’ll seek out… to know more of God than you did before, and you’ll pray for His guidance before you start.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

Russ

P.S. Please let me know what you think we can add or what you feel about the study itself. All feed back will be dearly appreciated. I hope I won’t let you down… for I do believe God can work miracles with what He has given all of us… His spirit.

I’am hApPy to see a Bible study. I’ve always enjoyed learning more about the Bible. I offer EVERYONE to give opinion and offering as the BIBLE is a LIVING BIBLE. I’ve read scripture and been fed to then re-read the exact same verse months or years later to receive something totally different out it. That’s what is so amazing about “THE WORD” of God, the words speak to you in your time of need or thanksgiving. How you are at the time of your journey. Amazing.
I’ve composed a journal on the Bible study and hope some if not all will take a look…I’ve studied King David going on 6yrs this February 2012. I explain the need in my journal. I will as Russ, give scripture, thoughts, references, links, any sort of help to aid anyone on “The WORD”

My Journal week 1 King David

My prayer always,
God bless Mankind
AMEN
