Looking through the arch at St Pauls Rd Back Beach, Sorrento on a cold winters evening.
I shot this photo earlier this year down at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria). It’s part of a new personal project I’m working on. It was one of those mornings where everything just came together nicely. Of all the photos I’ve ever shot, this is one of my favourites.

Like other clubs operating under the direction of “Surf Life Saving-Victoria”, Gunnamatta is patrolled by volunteer life savers on weekends and Public Holidays from end of November through to Easter. Professional Life Guards operate during the week throughout January.
The walks around Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula are always spectacular. This shot was taken just after dusk when the sky suddenly turned pink and purple for a few short seconds.

Of all the coves and beaches in the bay this one is very close to my heart. With all the photos of piers and jetty’s i have, this one was a must to grab on a typical overcast morning with long exposure.
