Mars, the resident Maine Coon, snoozes in his favorite nook, which also happens to be where I keep my collection of seashore finds. Featured / Your Living Spaces group, 11/21
I took a photo of my fathers old keys hanging up, and then added effects from Paint Shop Pro 8 with a hot wax look. FEATURED IN THE GROUP ‘THE THING’ / FEATURED IN THE GROUP ‘YOUR LIVING SPACES’ /

Muskydime vine outside on one of the fence. Private Gourley Garden, West Millers Cove Road, Walland, TN. Mashed the berries, removed the seeds, Pureed it with pears in the food processor. Then I made a syrup, boiling it with sugar, clove. This syrup I used to make a blender drink, a holiday taste. Added the syrup to milk in the blender. Receipe I just made the first time. I thought it was very tastey especially for the holidays. I served it in copper and stainless Napa cups. Jeffee Gourley

I was at my girlfriend’s place today and we sat down for a coffee. I had my camera with me of course. I go everywhere with the darn thing lol. She uses the real coffee beans, I love it…so I spilled out some beans on her table. She looked at me rather strangely and asked…”what are you doing with a giggle”. I said wait!!! “I’m trying to do some creative work here” with a smile. So, I spent abit of time on this, wanted to get it kind of right. The more I play around with the camera the more things I think of doing with it. / /
Our mantle provides a perfect spot to bring in swags of fragrant cedar, and top them with gold trim ribbon, tiny lights, and a candle for Christmas.
It’s always fun to dress up the hallway with a few candles and red ribbons for Christmas.
FIRST OF ALL, I’D LIKE TO SAY THIS,,,,,,,I KNOW THAT THERE PROBABLY HAVEN’T BEEN 34,638 INDIVIDUALS LOOKING AT MY PHOTOS AND PHOTOART, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO AKNOWLEDGE TO EVERY ONE THAT HAS SEEN AND FAVORITED AND COMMENTED AND COMPLIMENTED AND FEATURED,,,,,ALL OF THE IMAGES THAT HAVE BEEN CHOSEN. IF IT WEREN’T FOR YOU FELLOW BUBBLERS ALL AROUND THE GLOBE, MY IMAGES WOULD BE SITTING IN AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND NOT BE SEEN BY ANYONE BUT MYSELF AND MY MOM. SINCE I DON’T HAVE MANY FRIENDS THAT COME BY MY HOUSE TO VISIT, IT HAS BECOME IMPORTANT TO ME TO HAVE ALL OF YOU OUT THERE, COMMENTING AND CHATING WITH ME OVER THE COMPUTER, GETS ME OUT OF THE HOUSE,,,,AT LEAST MENTALLY ANYWAY,,,BECAUSE WHEN I THINK OF WHERE EACH OF YOU ARE WHEN I’M REPLYING TO A COMMMENT OR COMPLIMENT OR SUGGESTION THAT YOU HAVE MADE,,,,,,IT’S LIKE I’M TAKING A LITTLE TRIP. THE FACT THAT A LOT OF YOU ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLOBE FROM ME,,,TOTALLY BLOWS ME AWAY, I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVER THOUGHT I WOULD BECOME FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE IN OTHER LANDS, LET ALONE THE MANY OTHER STATES THAT I’VE BECOME FAMILIAR WITH,,,,,RIGHT HERE IN THE USA. I HAVE ACCUMULATED OVER 60 PAGES OF YOUR ART,,,IN MY FAVORITES PAGE. I DON’T HAVE THAT MANY PAGES OF MY OWN IMAGES,,,,,SO THAT GIVES ME THE MENTAL ABILITY TO SEE INTO YOUR WORLDS A LITTLE BIT. SOME OF YOU ARTISTS, I’VE FAVED A FEW OF YOUR WORKS, SOME OF YOU I’VE FAVED SEVERAL OF YOU IMAGES AND SOME OF YOU, I’VE FAVED A LOT OF YOUR IMAGES. I’VE LEARNED ONE THING IF I’VE LEARNED ANYTHING,,,I AM NOT WORTHY,,,,I AM NOT WORTHY,,,,I AM NOT WORTHY. LOL MY IMAGES THAT I PRODUCE WITH MY CAMERA AND THEN THE COMPUTER, ARE IN MY EYES, AMATEUR COMPARED TO SOME OF YOU ARTISTS OUT THERE THAT CREATE WITH THE COMPUTER, OR WITH PEN AND PENCIL, OR COLORED PENCILS OR OILS,,,,OR WHAT EVER OTHER MEDIA GETS USED IN THE WORLD OF ART. I’VE TRIED COLORED PENCILS AND FELT TIP MARKERS ON A COUPLE OF THINGS, BUT NOTHING LIKE WHAT I’VE SEEN ON THE BUBBLE. MY FELT TIP MARKERS IMAGE OF “MY SECRET CITY”, IS THE MOST FINISHED ART BY HAND WORK I’VE EVER DONE. IF IT WEREN’T FOR MY CAMERA TO GIVE ME A START, MY ART WOULD BE VERY LIMITED INDEED. SO A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU OTHER ARTISTS OUT THERE. / SECONDLY, I’D LIKE TO SAY THIS FROM MY HEART, TO ALL OF YOU,,,,” I want to wish you, one and all,,,,,may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Wonderful Holiday Season,,,with a wonderous New Year”. IT DOESN’T SEEM LIKE IT’S COMING UP ON THE YEAR 2010,,,JUST LAST YEAR I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL,,lol. WELL IT SEEMS LIKE THAT ANYWAY. BOY, 1970, THE YEAR I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL,,,JUST DOESN’T SEEM LIKE WHEN I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE YEAR 2000, BACK THEN,,,THAT IT WOULD GET HERE SO FAST. EACH YEAR HAS GONE FASTER AND FASTER. I KNOW IT MUST SEEM THE SAME WAY WITH SOME OF YOU OUT THERE….I JUST DON’T KNOW WHERE ALL THE TIME WENT. HAPPY HOLLIDAYS EVERYONE. SMOKEYDOGSOCKS,,,AKA,,,,,,,,BOB :)
ONE MORNING AT MY HOUSE IN VACAVILLE CALIFORNIA, I OPENED MY CURTAINS TO DISCOVER A DRAGON FLY ON MY WINDOW SCREEN. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD MAKE A NICE SHOT, SO I GRABBED MY CANON DIGITAL REBEL 300D AND MY QUANTARAY 70-300MM AF TELEPHOTO MACRO LENS AND HEADED OUT MY FRONT DOOR TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE DRAGON FLY. THIS IMAGE WAS TAKEN AT 70MM. BY THE TIME I GOT THERE, MY WOLF DOG, “FOUR SOCKS” HAD JUMPED UP ONTO HIS DESK, THAT IS JUST UNDER MY BEDROOM WINDOW AND STARTED SNIFFING AT THE DRAGON FLY. I COULDN’T RESIST TAKING A SHOT OF THE DRAGON FLY ON THE NOSE OF A WOLF, EVEN IF THERE IS A WINDOW SCREEN SEPERATING THE TWO OF THEM. I HAVE TAKEN THOUSANDS OF PHOTOS IN THE LAST 33 YEARS, BUT THIS HAS BEEN THE FIRST AND FORMOST, COOLEST PHOTO OF THEM ALL. SADLY, ON JUNE 12, 2007, MY “FOUR SOCKS” DIED. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES I HAD WITH MY “FOUR SOCKS” AND THIS PHOTO WILL HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I ACTUALLY TOOK FOUR SHOTS OF SOCKS AND THE DRAGON FLY. THIS SHOT MADE IT TO THE “NATIONAL EXAMINER” WEEKLY SCANDLE SHEET AND WAS SEEN BY PEOPLE ALL ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. I HAD THREE WOLF DOGS FOR A WHILE, “DEOGEE”, “FOUR SOCKS” AND “SMOKEY FOUR SOCKS”. THEY HAVE ALL PASSED ON TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE AND ARE WAITING FOR ME TO JOIN THEM. BOB.
