Topic: Group News / Updates Hi everyone Images best representing the group I will feature all images which are accepted in the group what type of work is accepted in the group I feel that the updated rules combined with the gallery are clearer to what the group will now only accept. I also encourage anyone to re-submit older works and submit (to groups they I’ve since joined) – when my works is on explore it’s often due to, older images that were submitted to groups I had since joined, increased numbers of views, favoritings etc… will place your work higher when buyers do keyword/tag searches. So submit, re-submit works to Abstract lines but go through your portfolio and submit, re-submit works to other groups too and ensure you have key worded/tagged your work well. |

Topic: Group News / Group now re-opened I would also like to point out to anyone interested, I’m certainly going to experiment more with this too, to have a look at the images – regarding photography – of how a close up image of lines (metal, wood, shadows, plants… whatever they are), becomes “Abstract” not only due to texture, colours, use of space if minimal but the angle is been shot, it’s composition… something to keep in mind… as per the current gallery, it obviously helps in achieving this abstract visual result as oppose to a more “direct” macro or close up shot of lines. Also the depth of field used. |

Topic: Group News / Group now re-opened Thank you :) For anyone who feels that their images or who had their images refused but were accepted in the group previously (especially some time ago, when the group was called “just lines”), several of mine were also still in there but no longer match the Abstract Lines group aim. Click here to see other Abstract groups especially Abstract Shapes, Abstract from nature and Abstract nature’s macro art, Abstract macro urban art, the thing and fractal abstracts. Some of your images may fit these groups and Abstract lines, if images are abstract or have a strong Abstract feel, i.e. we shouldn’t know or we should “forget” when looking at the image, where the lines are from. Or some of your images may no longer fit Abstract Lines but several of the other groups. If you’re not sure, submit anyway :) |

Topic: Group News / 300+ to go Thanks to the members who have left and re-joined the group, it helps, we’re down 300 pages, another 300+ to go. Apologies to the ones who may have received a message saying that their image has been featured then realised that’s it’s not on the front page… I challenge anyone to repetitively click on remove, then ok without by mistake first clicking on feature, I’m trying to be quick as to reopen the group asap. Also, I think this exercise of clearing the gallery is needed, I have deleted 100s of images which truly belonged to the “Just Lines” group (how it was called before) but no longer fit the current “Abstract Lines” gallery. I will leave few images which represent abstract lines best to be featured for a short time as to show members what they ought to submit. Also please read the rules/guidelines. Again, please leave and re-join as to speed the process of re-opening the group. Thank you! Anne |
