They are just a bit of silliness to make you smile. Little figurines made from some kind of composite about 10” tall. I am putting them in my front window to welcome guests. I got them a few years back and bring them out to celebrate Fall. While I was on a break from RB, I managed to hone my bird photography skills. I am now an expert. No need to be jealous. What do mean, ‘not real’!! That’s the realest ceramic I’ve ever seen! Canon EOS 450D, 50mm f1.8 lens

Dappled sunlight from behind the trees outside the window plays with the colors and curves of the hand made glass vases, glasses and bottles in this watercolor still life by Paul Jackson. The painting is one of a series by the artist featuring art glass.
One of my favorites, from the Christmas Mouse Collection, one of over 400 at last count. The Christmas mice only come out for the Holidays, imagine that this one is a table display, but the Christmas Tree has in excess of 300 and that number grows each year, last Year I was able to experience the joy in capturing all these little creatures, and be assure that for each one there is a special memory, the so much enjoyed Smile, and now to share the viewing opportunity with all. A part of the 40 year collection, at our place during the Holidays, food around our house for some reason disappears! perhaps this is a vital clue?
In honor of my Scandinavian heritage. Grandmother Anna was a proud Norwegian.transplant, and I am the daughter of a daughter of a seamstress. Grandmother Anna Lorraine Mortensen at the age of 19 came to America in the year 1900 from Norway via Ireland. She was an indentured servant for a number of unspoken years. She was a seamstress. Yes, I know how to sew a straight line. And have spent many fastidious hours for the sake of the ideal seam. Although I can not remember which magazine I found this image from, this color pencil drawing was inspired from a photo I found in a design periodical.

Inspiration sometimes comes when you least expect it. Paul Jackson’s “Fascination” watercolor inspiration occurred when the artist was unpacking boxes of drinking glasses on his counter. The result; an intense rainbow of colored glass in a one-of-a-kind painting. “Fascination” was completed in 2007 and is a huge 60” X 40”.
A collection of art glass vases and perfume bottles on a windowsill in the sunlight creates a dazzling display of light and color. This watercolor by Paul Jackson is one of a series featuring art glass.

A Chac Mool figurine meets the girls of the new world… A beloved family member gave us this figurine, and in the spirit of Expedia’s garden gnome, we wanted to make sure this little guy was having a good time! We started by introducing him to the locals… Olympus SP-565uz Others in this series: /
The second in the Chac Mool Series, this Mayan figurine from the Yucatan peninsula in Central America has come to stay in a whole new world up in the northern United States… Here he is posing thoughtfully as the archetypal Hermit from the tarot… (The Hermit is a lone figure, walking through the darkness carrying the light, which is a great burden but also a great gift. He is quiet, contemplative. While others rush around and shout, he sits quietly alone and thinks. He goes deep within to reach wisdom.) Here he is in a quiet moment, contemplating the future of mankind… Olympus SP-565UZ / Post processing in Picasa3 Other works in this series:

My favorite garden fairy, moved indoors for the winter. He usually sits on a table outdoors with his rock, to bring me inspiration! Nikon Coolpix 5700
