Kanawinka Geopark is the 57th Global Geopark in UNESCO’s Global Network of National Geoparks. It stretches from Beachport in South Australia over to Colac in Victoria, going as far North as Penola and Hamilton.
It incorporates many incredible natural features, including the Blue Lake in Mt Gambier, the Petrified Forest, the Princess Margaret Rose Caves and Tower Hill, to name just a few. The area is Australia’s most extensive volcanic province, with six sites of international significance.
This group is a showcase of images from the region, not limited only to photography but including any art that is specifically focused on the landscape, history, flora and fauna of the region. Members of this group will have the opportunity for their work to be presented to other Geoparks around the world and will be eligible to receive prizes and other benefits from the Creative Kanawinka committee.
Please include a description of what the work depicts and the location it shows.
