As you can see, Donald signed his name and dated it on this board. / It’s on the inside wall of an old cow shed that has since fallen into extreme ruin here in NE Kansas. / As I was leaving the farm today, he was arriving with a new bale of hay for his cows, so of course I had to talk to him some more. / The day he signed his name here..more then 60 years ago…he’d just gotten his high school diploma and had become engaged to be married to his sweetheart….....who…..he’s still married to today. / I got so much more history about this amazing farm that was abandoned back in the early 70’s…....each time I visit it’s almost like I can see it as it once was in it’s early days.
The title comes from the writing on the wall. Best viewed LARGE!

The rest of what you see is a flat brick wall facing away from the morning sunshine. It’s a very old mural. Nikon D60 / 60mm / cropped ever-so slightly / minor enhancements to contrast [ O ]
/ / Please view LARGER / There are four windows on a grey cement wall, all have different reflections. / Taken in Adelaide just off Halifax Street. / Nikon D300

beige and red aren’t among my favourite colour combinations but the shadow here reminded me of one of Miro’s mobiles Canon 40D 17-70 shot at 25mm 1/2000 sec f/11 ISO 400
As Is – straight from the camera with no processing or enhancement. Sandstone homes in Mdina Malta – the road name was in Arabic but has been almost erased by time and rewritten underneath in English and Maltese.

When I still lived down in Tennessee….I’d go cave hunting all the time. / This carved wall was found in a VERY tight space outside a caving area. This was an almost impossible location to get to….driving down dirt roads endlessly until I found a large bundle of rocks in the middle of flat land. In the winter, I could see steam rising from this spot so knew there was a hidden cave. / When I found names and dates carved in the stone, it brought goose bumps…..knowing that others had been here many many many years previous to my ‘discovery’......... / I later learned, this was considered a sacred spot to the Native Americans…but has since been treated like a trashdump by locals. / I loved that the moss was starting to re-claim it’self here.
