“EMPTY SADDLES” was featured in Just Brown “EMPTY SADDLES” statue, meant “As a faithful memorial and in fond memory, the riders of El Viaje de Portolá herein honor their fallen compadres”. Photo taken on the grounds of Mission San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California, in the beginning of December 2008, with my Canon PowerShot S5 IS camera. It was then manipulated in ACDSee to give a somewhat sadder or “ghostly” feeling.

Well, you never know what you’ll find in these tiny little towns out in the midwest of the USA. Always a million photo ops if you just slow down and look around. I just loved this sign! So optimistic!

Most people see brown as a boring dull colour but im here to prove that its also exiting and fun, but we need to create that. Anyone is able to join and I encourage works to be submitted.
I most definately accept poems and writings. I also accept writings that have the emotion or feeling of brown. The work must be at least 50% brown or have brown as the main subject.
