About This Group

So many artists are inspired by music (inspired by poetry also accepted) and I believe the two go hand-in-hand.
If a song/piece of music or poem has inspired one of your existing paintings or inspired you to paint, then we want to see it.
One of the main rules is to ensure that you write in your description the title of the song/piece of music/poem.
Youtube videos should not take precedence over typing in who or what has inspired you music-wise. If you want to upload a video that’s fine, but group rules stipulate you MUST type the relevant requirements regardless!
We do not accept photos unless they are so heavily manipulated they have lost their originality.
The processing has to show a marked change in the image.
The image must no longer look like an original photograph.
I want to be able to view and say, ‘That really does not look like a photo!’
Please share with us and submit your image for moderation.
We want to see your creativity!

THE DO’S!
Art work only,(NO TRADITIONAL PHOTOS PLEASE). Traditional painting welcome: freehand: acrylics, oils, watercolours, graphite, pastels, charcoal. alongside digital art i.e work done on photoshop, highly textured images.
Please indicate in your description the medium, the programme, or the textures etc used to achieve your final result along with the song title/piece of music or poem for acceptance into the group please.

The content must connect to the title of the song or verse, so when viewing the image we can see the relation between your inspiration & song/poem.

THE DON’TS!

No nudity at all.
No clothing. (no T’s or i-phone cases)
No writing… and that includes words on images
We need to be aware of copyright so it is preferable that you do not use the song/music/poetry title in your own title for copyright reasons:)
Do not rely on putting a youtube video to compensate for the above. Your song/piece of music or poem must be in the description for acceptance.
This group is moderated, so if perchance your image is removed it will be for good reason. Please understand that our moderating host for the day has the decision to reject and their decision is final.
All featured work, challenge winners and spotlight on artists receive banners. This is part of our group rules, so if you are not happy to receive banners you may wish to find a group that does not issue them.
Hosts decisions, whilst you may not think are correct, are FINAL and no further correspondence will be entered into once an explanation is given for rejection, if requested
