The Malls Balls / Rundle Mall / Adelaide, South Australia Canon 50D / 10-20mm
These sweet frog cakes are an institution (or icon) here in Adelaide. Kids love them and so do adults. They are covered in sweet icing (choc, green or pink) and inside is a sponge cake and cream. Balfour’s make them here in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 20D camera in the studio with studio lighting.
The Adelaide Railway Station that now also houses the Casino. Located on North Terrace in the city it is an icon building and lights up beautifully at night. Canon 400D – Sigma 10-20 lens. / F 13 – 1.3 seconds at a focal length of 18. Interesting to stand in the middle of the road, off the medium strip in the actual traffic lane trying to take a long exposure without getting run over…!

For years, this popular narrow gauge train has carried tourists and locals alike up and down the beachfront at Adelaide, capital city of South Australia. This was shot at Port Adelaide, at the end of the line, moments before the two-man crew climbed aboard for the return journey. I remember it being a very murky evening – and it’s interesting to note that the engine headlamp is shining brightly. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm. Featured in SPEAKING PHOTOS (STORYTELLING), November 2009. Adelaide3-6515
