It is a shame about the collapse of this group but I’m afraid that I couldn’t be a host for several reasons.
I will just continue to send my Iberia pictures to ‘general’ groups.

I have no idea, I gave this group up about 18 months ago. David someone took it over. I had such little response from the members it was like flogging a dead horse I am afraid to say :O( . My take on the matter is if some of you guys want an active group, start new ones…. For example, Spain and Spanish life etc. It easy to do, I still host other groups where members regularly participate!

OK guys I have said for such along time that people really are not interested in this group. Therefore I have asked Rb to close it. I tried to revamp it, but there is only so much you can do. Happy snapping, enjoy yourselves and maybe one of your will open a new group, Spain and it’s Islands? Portugal? All the best anyway. Celia

because I don’t speak Portuguese and my Spanish is very poor! Therefore as I have asked perhaps someone Portuguese or Spanish would like to take over and the group can be inwhatever language they would like. Are you offering?

I’m Portuguese and I live in Porto – Portugal and I think the problem of this group is the English language. Iberian people is proud of its culture and language. So we, the group, don’t have many participants contests…
Why not translate into Portuguese or Spanish?

Likewise, Squealia, I would have loved to help, but I don’t live in Spain either, and I’m not even sure I’ll be able to return there this summer…even though I yearn to!

Would love to help, Squealia, but I cannot find enough time to manage my own photos at present, let alone those of others! This group has great potential – I do hope that someone who can devote the time and enthusiasm is able to step in.

I took this group over a few months ago to try and put some life back into teh group. However I was disappointed by the response to challenges etc and felt I was wasting my time. I no longer live on the Iberian penisular and feel this group maybe better hosted by someone living there. So is there anyone out there who wants to host this group?

Come on guys and girls, please enter the challenge, there are only 4 entries. Go to teh Iberia group, click on challenges and add an image to this months challenge. Then in a week please vote too! If there isn’t a significant improvement in the amount of entries and voting this month, I will not hold any further challenges, as theye are hardly contests with so few entries and votes!

If I had left it with just the 7 votes and not asked people to vote, it would not have been much of a challenge! At least a few extra people have voted now and I hope a few more will do so today :O)

I contributed and voted. Maybe the least that should happen is that all those that enter should be asked to vote? I was surprised that there were so few entries this time. Maybe it’s just a one-off?

I’d actually like to see more challenges in this group not fewer :-)

I am really disappointed with the response to this months challenge. There have only been 7 votes on 10 entries and 3 of those are votes I placed, therefore there are only 4 other votes. There is still time to vote HERE……….. but my main concern is whether to continue the monthly avatar challenge. Are people really not interested? If not I won’t hold them anymore. :O((
