Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Hack] Switch to "Edit" view bookmarklet

I’ve uploaded version 0.9 of my work editing hack. This version fixes a problem that was introduced when RedBubble recently changed the URL for t-shirts (the URL used to have them under clothing, now it has them under t-shirts).

I’ve created a quick search Bookmarklet for redbubble.
Get it Here
To use it just highlight the text you want to search then click the “Quick Search” button in your toolbar. The page showing the results will have other search options like search “Redbubble”, “Redbubble Forums”, “Redbubble Groups” other Search options See Screenshot below

Here’s something that’s ultimately a lengthy manual workaround for what will one day hopefully be part of My Bubble reporting…

Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Hack] Simple BubbleMail Preview

Thanks Johanne.

I hadn’t planned any more changes to the code as it stands. I did consider the idea of extending it to things other than BMs but there’s problems with that. The main problem is fitting it into a page nicely. On top of that there’s also the problem that the preview will never quite look the same as it will on the finished page — that’s good enough for BMs where you fire them off and never see them again (in other words, it’s better than nothing), but not good enough for works (where you’d still end up needing to view the finished product and probably edit one final time).

Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Toolbar] Navigating on the bubble

Redbubble Toolbar

The easy way to navigate the bubble
I’ve found that the easiest way to navigate on redbubble was to create my own tool bar with links and shortcuts to the things that I do on the bubble. I’ve added many new options and shortcuts.
It works with Internet Explorer and Firefox
I hope you find this toolbar as useful as I have. Click images for a larger Preview
The down arrow next to redbubble logo will open a menu of options notice the “Suggestions by bubblemail” link contact me with any suggestions

Click for a Larger view
If changes are made the toolbar will automatically update or you can click the “refresh tool bar” in the menu above
The options are pretty much self explanatory the “Toolbar options” will open a new box with many features to make the bar work for you.
Click for Larger View
To add and remove buttons from the toolbar uncheck the buttons you do not want to display
Click for Larger View
Shortcuts to some software can be found in the
“Usefull components” menu below (I use Note Pad a lot)
Click for Larger View
To add new work Click for Larger View Click for Larger View! Click for Larger View
The “My Bubble” button includes a links to “Edit Profile” “Bubblemail”“Redbubble Forums”and your “Bulk Editor”
use the “Edit this work” link from the “public preview page to go to the edit page
Click for Larger View
Manage your Bubblesite Gallery Click for Larger View Click for Larger View
The Feeds menu Contains Links to Challenges Your group Challenges, Open for entries, Voting Now and Recently Completed a link to your Favorites and many more
Click for Larger View
The “My Work by Page” gives you access to you images and t-shirts by page assuming you have 10 or less pages Click for Larger View
New “Send to” button send any web page to your Blogger, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Gmail, Google Reader, Google Notebook, Google Bookmarks, delicious (full save), reddit, or Tineye

The search box includes Searching Rebbubble, Redbubble Groups, Flickr, and Google images

If you would like the search option but not the toolbar get the
“Quick Search” bookmarklet which is just a bookmark to use the search feature.
See More about bookmarklet
I hope you like using it, and don’t forget to let me know if you would like to have something included that I may have missed.
Click Here to Get the Toolbar

Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Hack] Simple BubbleMail Preview

I like this script and find it very useful, I’m looking forward to the next improved version if one has been planned. Thank you for making it available!

A similar script for previews of journal entries and art descriptions would be useful too. Lots of people include images and formatting in their descriptions as well as journal entries, and it would be nice to preview them before uploading for public view.

Once again thank you for all these improvements to RB!

Sorry DR, only just noticed your question.

Currently, no, there’s no option to link to the Bubble sites. The main reason is, as best as I can tell, there’s no simple and consistent way of figuring out a link to a specific work.

I’ve just uploaded a new version of my RedBubble art manager application (this is v1.8.0.0). You can get it from here.

This release makes a couple of small changes to the HTML and MediaRSS export facilities.

Now, when you export some HTML, you can specify if you want the images to link to the normal view page for a work or link to the buy page:

When you export a MediaRSS file you can also specify where the links will go. You can also set your own values for some of the key items of information in the resulting RSS file:

I’ve just uploaded a new version of my RedBubble art manager application (this is v1.7.0.0). You can get it from here.

This release makes a change to the work promotion dialog that lets you specify where you want the promotion code to link to. Before it would only link to the normal view page for a work. Now, as an option, you can link directly to the purchase page for the work:

The difference is as follows. If you click on the following image you’ll get the normal view page:

whereas with the promotion code set to link to the buy page, you’ll get this:

Before anyone asks: no, sorry, I can’t have it so that you can specify exactly which product is linked to when going to the buy page.

I’ve just uploaded a new version of my RedBubble art manager application (this is v1.6.0.0). You can get it from here.

This release adds a new export option. You can now export your art list as a MediaRSS file. This is useful if you want to add CoolIris support to one of your own websites.

For details on how to add support to your website see the CoolIris developer guide.

Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Hack] "Friends of RedBubble" quick link for mybubble

Inspired by this thread I’ve knocked up a quick Greasemonkey hack that adds a Friends of RedBubble forum link the the quick links bar in mybubble.

This, of course, is only useful to people who use Firefox, have Greasemonkey installed, and who are a member of the FoRB group. If that’s you and this sounds useful then pop over here to get a copy.

Topic: RedBubble AddOns, Tools and Hacks / [Hack] Script to export an art list

I’ve just released v1.7 of this tool. The two main changes in this release are:

  • The script can now optionally download a list of clothing.
  • The output now also includes the URL of the default thumbnail for each work. This is most useful when dealing with clothing because working out such a URL post-download is almost impossible.

You can download getrbart from here.

Hmm. That would suggest you’ve still got the old version going there. Might be an idea to totally uninstall the old version, clear your browser’s cache, and then go and install the new version.

For what it’s worth I’ve had Greasemonkey get a little “confused” with versions of scripts like this before now and the above always fixed things.
