Ruinous Stone Buildings

This challenge closed almost 3 years ago.

The Challenge

The 3rd HiS Challenge is about to be launched
The theme is Ruinous Buildings and could include houses, churches, barns etc but NOT standing stones or anywhere habitable.
Rules are that a) the building is dilapidated (i.e. not just a bit scruffy!) b) over 100 years old and c) made of stone (or brick etc)
It is hoped that the entries will be informative and, as such, all entries MUST be accompanied by a description that tells us where it is, what it is and, preferably, some further details (without this they will be deleted).
The Challenge commences with immediate effect and will close for entries in one week’s time with voting then lasting for a further 4 days.
Good Luck!

Judging / Voting Criteria

Voting should be based on the photographic merit of the image but also on how well the image suits the title of Ruinous Buildings.
Images without a description, as mentioned in the Introduction, should be discounted.#

Rewards & Prizes

The winner will have the heady distinction of having their image as the group avatar until the next Challenge and be a featured artist.
