Welcome To a Heart for Haiti.
This group has been formed in the hopes that as fellow friends and artists we can somehow reach, with our creative hearts, minds and hands, a place to speak for the nation of Haiti. We might find expression through the form of words, 2 dimensional works, photography, poetry, essays and forums.
Our vision is to gather a group of like-minded artists who feel a need to help Haiti and are finding ways of doing so.

Members could designate one art work each month, or more if they feel so, to the cause and donate a percentage (or 100%) of their profit to the organization of their choice. We will be listing reputable organizations as we find them.
Let us work towards this goal together.
From the New York Times
One of the poorest and least developed countries in the world, Haiti in recent years has struggled with problems ranging from near-constant political upheaval, health crises, severe environmental degradation and an annual barrage of hurricanes.
On Jan. 12, 2010, a massive earthquake struck Haiti, reducing much of its capital to rubble. It was the worst earthquake in the region in more than 200 years. A preliminary assessment from Haiti’s government put the body count at 150,000 on Jan. 23. The devastation created serious obstacles to those attempting to deliver promised foreign aid.
