About This Group

You may like this group if you possess The Hoarder Scrounger Recycler Artist’s Eye for detail + opportunity in Lateral Views of a Society in Crisis + enjoying the Abundance of Manufactured Goods never dreamed of previously or even necessary for Human Happiness as a way of life previously .

To document this stage in World History where massive quantities of consumer goods are thrown on the scrap heap almost daily whilst still working, serviceable or salvageable for recycling for their useful resources. Some Interesting items are ready for practical purposes. Some have Artist Value in themselves or as inspiration. Sometimes we see tremendous paradox, irony ,humour + indeed cryptic Social Commentary in rubbish placed on our streets for waste collection.

There is a form of Spiritual Bankruptcy in this 21st Century decadent display of avarice for more + more, new technology which ultimately mostly prospers the Owners of Capital + Resources leaving the everyday common man empty + unnourished by their involvement.

Yet we must keep up or be left behind as Electrical Goods, Furniture, Clothing, Childrens Toys + Equipment, Building materials, Recreation Items, Sporting Goods, General Resources and even over produced food, toiletry, cosmetic and medicinal items. It’s an Epidemic. It’s insanity. It’s a Normal State of Excess.
