About This Group

Hamilton is located on the shore of Lake Ontario in Canada. Labeled the World’s Capital of Waterfalls with several picturesque creeks and rivers giving home to multiple waterfalls within city boundaries. The city has diverse landscaping and is set on two levels: the higher level is the ancient shore of the lake. Several Parks and hiking trails cross the city and lead all the way to Niagara Falls. Hamilton is sometimes called “The Steel Town” supplying steel to most of North America. Also famous for Tigercats, first Tim Horton’s, Copps Coliseum, McMaster University, Mohawk College, and many others…

This group is open to all. We welcome Hamilton’s current or past residents as well as all visitors who took time to stop by and take photos in this area.

This group was created in August 2010.

Basic Hamilton Group rules:

1. Photo has to be taken in Hamilton or close neighbourhood and this must be stated in photo description or title.
2. We will accept photos from other neighbouring cities and areas as long as Hamilton is clearly mentioned in the description. For example: “Burlington, located north of Hamilton” or “Dundas, part of Hamilton Wentworth” or “Conservation area located 10 km from Hamilton, Ontario”, etc…
3. Please be advised that photos may be accepted or removed at moderators discretion.
4. No more than two images per day per photographer.
