some of you folks out there are STILL submitting what I consider to be soft porn nude so called figure studies that are, frankly, offensive, tasteless and boorish…. these works are NOT going to be accepted and just might be reported!!… also the raunchy wannabe porn star boudoir el cheapo "glamour"images that are flooding in will also continue to be rejected, period!!

I am going to do a lot of “cleansing of the temple” of images over summer and re jig the guidelines to this group and put in place a more inflexible enforcement of the guidelines for the benefit of the majority of our members. Feel free to resubmit an image you really love but make sure it complies with the new world order as outlined below.

Now please read the next bit CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All submissions must be high quality images with the accent on the traditional interpretation of “glamour”, the homage to the vintage in style and substance, the whimsical, the humourous, the risque…. no more 
full on nudes and wannabe porn star images. There are more than enough other groups on RB for that!! All submitted images must have some artistic merit, snapshots and phone cam images do not cut it. In this group, a glamour image is a considered a staged and posed image, a re creation of a bygone era. Baby photos and photographs of children will be rejected… plants, flowers and rooftops are NOT glamourous and won’t be accepted. (that I even have to mention this should tell you something!!!).minor digital alteration is acceptable, however the group is aimed at photographers rather than digital artists, heavily altered images will be rejected


Photographs that do not comply with the guidelines will be rejected, period!!. The hosts reserve the right to remove work that is felt to be unsuitable for the group, and also to remove members who continually re post rejected work or continue to include work outside guidelines. I do not have the time for personal explanations, just accept!!
Images with watermarks or logos that detract from the image are also rejected. 
A removal of an image is not a criticism of your work, but simply that it does not comply with the spirit of the group guidelines, so please don’t take it personally although you can if you really want to!!

Written works or non photographic images are not accepted in this group.

at the moment the number of nudes being submitted for consideration is getting out of hand (ie lots!!) that do not meet ANY of the guidelines or general demeanor of this group. The overall themes are traditional and historic as stated in the group overview, available for all to read and or to be re acquainted with. The raunchy wannabe porn star images that are flooding in will continue to be rejected, period!!

there has been an increase recently in the number of images submitted for moderation by a few photographers that are frankly pornographic and badly executed pornography at that!!

these images will in future be reported and the originator of the images will be removed from the group. in what I consider to be the best interests of the group

the latest featured images are the works of one Helen Mclean who recently held her first one person exhibition and I thought it more than appropriate to upload the lot of ’em in one go and share the whole process she went through to create these images with the fellow bubblers.

as Helen explains of the central theme;

“Notorious Dames is a collection of photographic art based on 1930s/40s Film Noir. Showcasing dead-sexy femme fatales, weapons of the era, beefed-up hot rods and Australian landscapes and architecture.
Inspired by Sin City, Helen McLean photographed her models in the studio, while the vehicles and landscapes were shot separately and put together in post-production.”

moderator’s comments:
my personal favorites are the full on black and white images, sombre rich tones, strong emotive shadows against elegant highlights and some sassy babes in great outfits… Congrats Helen and fellow bubblers, please do enjoy!!

Folks, over the next few weeks I will be deleting all images prior to 2010.

This lovely shiny new decade is a perfect opportunity to refresh the images and in order In order to do this we will be deleting all images from the group . It is becoming impractical to have old images as far back as whenever in the group sucking up valuable bandwidth.

Feel free to re submit your absolute favorites and PLEEEESE re acquaint your self with the guidelines and new members to READ CAREFULLY the updated guidelines. Many people are not following the guidelines and we now must moderate the group in a far less democratic fashion..

Those who continuously abuse and submit non related images will be removed from the group without notice.
