This is peeking through a bush at a pretty part of my cottage garden – watching me is Snowdrop, my sweet little Maltese. Snowdrop the Maltese
When you walk by, you may not see me and walk straight through me But trust that I am there, and always will be ” Stay Beautiful”
One of our neighbors a few streets behind us, has a lovely little side garden with this angelic water feature. She sits out here on a stone bench in the morning and says her daily prayers, enjoys the tranquille nature, and drinks her morning tea. She stated to me “It gets my motor running in the proper way,and gives me the chance to be alone with the Lord. He paves my way for the day, no matter what happens. I feel I can face anything after that great start.” She’s right, I think. I learned a lot from that experience, and try to emulate those thoughts as often as I can. Another experience which has given me great strength dealing with my disabilities. It has been a bit of a challange for me at times, BUT, I have also gained so much more in personal self worth and character, I believe. I strive for more enery day.

So, yes, this a quite a departure from my usual adherence to keeping the images crisp and free from editing, but rolling around Redbubble inspired me to try my hand at something out of the ordinary. I was drawn to this old swing, all worn and rusted, and it reminds me of the duality of an aging adult harboring the spirit of a child. Though I am among the middle-aged crew now, I still feel free as a bird, youthful as a child, whenever I take a ride on a fantastic swing set. The feeling of soaring, of freedom, never fails to send my heart straight to the sky above! I just love it!!! The Magical Old Swing I am the swing / With rust ‘round the edges / My rope handles frayed over time. / My wooden plank cradle / Is green with light moss / But still I can magically glide. / If you give me a chance / We’ll fly ever high / My looks are deceiving / Will you try, take a ride? / Your weight, I’ll support / Go on and grasp / Push off from the ground / Get ready to blast. / Together we’ll soar / As your feet reach the sky / The air fills your lungs / Happy tears you will cry. / I’m here, I’m your childhood / You might have grown old / But once we take off / Your youth, you’ll behold!

This is a little more of my mail-box art. Purely for fun! I used an image of a mailbox I liked and made it my own. LOL! I think as much mail as Red Bubble gets, they may need a FEW of these little fellows. Hope you enjoy! Good PR, anyhow. Makes a great card/postcard. This is the pretty cottage owned by my Brother-in-Law and his wife. Their garden is sometimes open to the public, and if anyone has a passion for Hardy Geraniums, then this is the place to go ! Cranesbill Nursery

Raven Statue at Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle, WA. The Common Raven (Corvus corax), also known as the Northern Raven, is a large, all-black passerine bird in the crow family. Found across the northern hemisphere, it is the most widely distributed of all corvids. There are eight known subspecies with little variation in appearance—although recent research has demonstrated significant genetic differences among populations from various regions. It is one of the two largest corvids, alongside the Thick-billed Raven, and is possibly the heaviest passerine bird; at maturity, the Common Raven is between 56 and 69 cm (22 to 27 inches) in length, with recorded weights ranging from 0.69 to 1.63 kg (1.5 to 3.6 pounds). Common Ravens typically live about 10 to 15 years in the wild, although lifespans of up to 40 years have been recorded. Young birds may travel in flocks, but later mate for life, with each mated pair defending a territory. The Common Raven has coexisted with humans for thousands of years, and in some areas has been so successful that it is considered a pest. Part of its success comes from its omnivorous diet; Common Ravens are extremely versatile and opportunistic in finding sources of nutrition, feeding on carrion, insects and food waste, in addition to cereal grains, berries, fruit and small animals. Some remarkable feats of problem-solving have been observed in the species, leading to the belief that it is highly intelligent. Over the centuries, it has been the subject of mythology, folklore, art and literature. In many indigenous cultures, including those of Scandinavia, ancient Ireland and Wales, Bhutan, the northwest coast of North America, Siberia and northeast Asia, the Common Raven has been revered as a spiritual figure or god.
