If you’ve seen the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as a kid I imagine it’s a bit disappointing as an adult but having never had the opportunity to see it, I can honestly say I had as much, if not more, fun as anyone there. There’s more “entertainment” if you watch it on TV but nothing beats being in that crowd and watching the faces on all of the children. I drove to the bus stop several towns away, hopped a bus a little after 6am this morning. I was in the city and up by the middle of the parade route by 7am. It was still dark and an electric company from Newark, New Jersey, LOL, was removing the lights and poles from the intersection at 42nd street and 6th ave so the big balloons could turn the corner. By 8am 42nd and 6th was packed with people. The parade reached us (started at Central Park West) at about 9:30am. It was a wonderful day and after all of that I made it home by 1:30pm and had my turkey dinner! Hope your Thanksgiving was enjoyable and as entertaining as mine was! The road to success, is marked with the pillars of failure. The world decorates the heroes and demeans the zeroes. The lobby is lush and everbody wants to enter and walk that polished floor. With head held high and sustaining every designed dent of the pillar, we keep walking that decorated lobby. There is light of god to help us see and the path is well light, it only the mind’s light that needs to be kept “Switched ON” and when you reach the end there is a “Stairway to heaven” the flight after that keeps you going high beyond the roof of this castle. Friends don’t forget the feel of the pillars as they have the fingerprints of lessons never to be forgotten.
