Hello dear Forest Dwellers,

Just wanted to send a gentle reminder about our group rules, especially regarding waterfalls.

We get so many of those and some are really gorgeous and I so don’t like rejecting them but they do not show the forest enough and we need to keep the focus of our group subject.
Yes, it might be in the heart of the forest but it needs to include the trees, not be isolated even if it is indeed in the forest.

To give you an example this image works very well:

However, when the focus is all on the waterfall it does not belong to this group, and this goes for any closeup even if it is obviously a forest item or animal we need to see lots of trees as well. Please refer to our rules if in doubt.

Again, the focus of our group is the forest, not its parts but its whole, so the trees always need to be part of your image. Waterfalls is what we seem to get the most of, and so many of those are really beautiful, but they belong to other groups. And it is only a matter of focus, not of quality of work.
